Working as a associate professor in the field of neurology and genetics at the genetics expertise center for veterinary medicine. 

Research areas: Genetics, epilepsy, classification and treatment of epilepsy, movement disorders, degenerative myelopathies, infectious diseases of the nervous system. 

Mandigers is active as a clinician, researcher and teacher in the field of (genetic) diseases occurring in dogs and cats.
