My name is Petros, and I am proud to be in the first year of my PhD as part of the SUNSET European Doctoral Network. My research will focus on evaluating the role of university campuses as living labs for recovering biodiversity. My PhD thesis is divided in the following chapters: 

Chapter 1: How does a Bioblitz event improve biodiversity monitoring to opportunistic citizen science observations in terms of scope and bias, using university campuses as a case study?

Chapter 2: What is the effectiveness of a coordinated Bioblitz monitoring protocol for biodiversity monitoring, using Utrecht University campus  as a case study?

Chapter 3: Assessing biodiversity in Utrecht Heuvelrug National Park (UHNP) before-after the implementation of a bioblitz monitoring protocol  

Chapter 4: Assessing the impact of nature-inclusive landscape management on insect, plant and avian biodiversity using the Utrecht University campus as a living lab
