GEO-ICT is Geo's IT department. Our objective is to supply geo-staff with the right IT tools. We have 6 staff (René Gits, Dennis Swanink, Maurits Uffing, Edwin Vos, Vincent Brunst, Francisco Romero Pastrana, Garrett Speed, Maisam Mohammadi Dadkan, Aristotelis Kandylas, Erwin Jens and, Nienke Knipmeijer Peter Hessels). We work in close cooperation with other UU support groups. Typical examples are:

• we participate in the "Virtual Data Team" to support researchers in managing data and privacy. RSO and RDM support also participate in this team;
• we work with ITS in supplying generic IT-services and in improving information security;
• we participate in UU's "data management community", a knowledge network where we learn from the knowledge and good practices in managing (research) data.
