Orlando has a background in science, technology and energy innovation policies collaborating with the government, research institutes and consultancy firms. He holds a MSc in Innovation Sciences (Utrecht University, 2021) and a BSc in International Relations (National Autonomous University of Mexico, 2017). He was recently appointed as a researcher (2021) in the Innovation Studies Department of the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development (affiliated to Utrecht University) to collaborate on research projects focused on the societal impact of the scientific research produced in universities. Nowadays, he aims to pursue a PhD in a research project aiming to support sustainable transitions from a geographical perspective. In his free time, he loves to watch history documentaries and visit art museums.
