Octaviani Ariyanti is a PhD candidate in International Development Studies, Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning, Faculty of Geosciences. She is currently conducting research on older adults' mobility in Indonesia, particularly in Yogyakarta and Bali. Using qualitative methods, she investigates how transport systems, neighborhood infrastructure, and urban change affect the mobility of ageing populations. In addition, she explores how tourism shapes the urban context in these cities, creating new challenges and opportunities for inclusive mobility.
