Raghavi is originally from India, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. She then moved to the Netherlands in 2021 to pursue an MSc in Hydraulic Engineering from the Delft University of Technology. After graduating, she worked as an applied researcher at the knowledge institute of Deltares where she was involved in projects related to coastal morphology and flood mapping. As a PhD candidate with Dr. Jaap Nienhuis, her focus is on estimating the physical tipping points of global deltas, for which she works with global datasets and novel numerical models of delta growth. The knowledge thus obtained through her work, aims to help make better-informed projections of delta land area change and, associated management strategies.
