I am a postdoctoral transdisciplinary researcher, working on UNBOX - a game-like toolkit to facilitate unusual collaborations via metaphorical spaces. Currently, I am engaged with and exploring the themes of dis-covering visual and physical forms of knowledge-making via the power of storytelling and developing alternative narratives, thus reframing particular challenges we face. Questions that interest me include: How can we playfully, joyfully and collectively explore what our desired (co-created) landscapes might look like? How can we facilitate (re)generative < - > (re)connections, to (re)discover relationships between humans and to realise how deeply intertwined we are with nature and ecosystems?
My broader main research interests lie in co-design and co-creative practices to pave the path towards more just, equitable, ecological and transformative development of our environments, landscapes and lived experiences. My recent work and research projects have been situated at the nexus of nature-based solutions, the good life and urban gamification. Believing in grassroots initiatives for social inclusion and real change, I have been working with local communities notably in Beirut, Budapest and London.
I dream of a pluriversal world built on care and educated hope, where we inspire and lift each other up and include non-humans and more-than-humans in decision-making processes and conversations on the future we wish to live in.
Since 2024, I've also been co-hosting the Special Interest Group on Justice, Power and Transformative Action in Sustainability - JUPITA, where my efforts went into nurturing and growing a community of practice around JUPITA’s shared interests and values - and building bridges beyond academia.
I am always happy and enthusiastic to discuss transformative design, regenerative design, radically different ideas and approaches, un-learning, decolonizing our minds, co-creating knowledges, informal education, games & play to create leveled ground and facilitate genuine inclusion & diversity, nature & ecological approaches, urban farming & permaculture, indigenous practices, rediscovering-reconnecting with-rebuilding our relationships with our natural environments - please feel free to reach out.
