Naomi van de Pol (she/her) has been a PhD student at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology and the Utrecht Centre for Accountability and Liability Law since November 2021. Her PhD research is part of the Vici project Law and Ethics of Neurotechnology in Criminal Justice (LENC). Naomi is conducting research into human rights protection for the mind and the fundamental rights involved in using neurotechnology to predict and prevent recidivism in criminal justice. The research is supervised by prof. dr. Gerben Meynen, prof. mr. dr. Johannes Bijlsma and prof. dr. Antoine Buyse.
