My research focuses on academic writing. I am interested in what defines academic writing as a genre, how students develop academic writing skills, and how we can effectively support them in this process. In particular, I examine how individual characteristics such as self-efficacy and students' writing beliefs shape students’ trajectories. My work contributes to a deeper understanding of the challenges within academic writing education, how these challenges interact with the increasing use of generative AI, and how we can best guide students in developing their academic writing skills.
