Mojtaba Zare Sefat is a hydrogeologist specializing in water resources, remote sensing technology, and GIS. With extensive research in water resource management and related fields, he has published 17 papers in international and national journals and conference proceedings.

He brings seven years of professional experience in consulting engineering firms in Iran, where he has contributed to projects involving water quality modeling, hydraulic modeling, and managing water and wastewater distribution networks across various regions.

In 2017, Mojtaba was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran. A licensed official judiciary expert in water since 2016, he is currently pursuing a PhD, investigating the origin and controls of naturally high nutrient concentrations in the coastal lowlands of the Netherlands. His research is funded by TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research).
