I am a postdoctoral researcher on the Meer uren werkt! project, working under the supervision of Belle Derks, Lianne Aarntzen, and Colette van Laar. My PhD at Utrecht University’s Department of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences focused on evaluating social policies designed to help working parents and caregivers achieve a better work–life balance.

In my current research, I build on this work by studying interventions that foster more parent-friendly workplaces. In particular, I focus on reducing pluralistic ignorance (the mistaken belief that colleagues disapprove of family-friendly practices) which often prevents employees from making use of the policies available to them.
