I study the expression of organic sensibilities of the book in the literate culture of early modernity. As an inanimate object, the book is often referred to through comparisons and metaphors that express its vitality. In the background, this discourse aims to construct a certain image of knowledge and the intellectual effervescence that allows for the ever-increasing production of knowledge.
I am currently working on several digital critical publishing projects (the Joyeuses Inventions project, the E.Dudeffand project, the experimental project ÆTeiCac).
Since 2020, I have been leading the EVEille project with colleagues from French universities. We organise scientific meetings and workshops on contemporary research methods, questioning the digital imperative and its dangers. Open science, the reusability of data and the importance of collective work are among the main areas of reflection of this project.
