Muhammad Jauhari Sofi is a PhD candidate in the Department of Language, Literature, and Communication, Faculty of Humanities. He completed his bachelor's degree in TEFL at UIN Walisongo Semarang, Indonesia, and his master's degree in English at Osmania University, India. His current research focuses on the cultural dynamics of English language education in Indonesian Islamic schools, including the pesantren.
