My scientific interest lies in the molecular communication between plants and their (beneficial) microbiota, and how this communication brings about changes in the pysiology of the plant an microbial system. More specifically, my research focusses on coumarins, phenolic and fluorescent plant-produced compounds, and how they determine the output of plant-microbe interactions.
