As of November 1, 2022, I have started as an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in the Entrepreneurship Section of the U.S.E. Before joining the Utrecht University, I worked as a postdoc at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany. This position was a part of the research project that dealt with the innovation legacy of the socialism in Germany. In a broader sense, my research interests evolve around transformation processes in former socialist countries, entrepreneurship, innovation and growth, regional development, business dynamics, and policy assessment. I also enjoy exploring historical data and context when studying the present-day phenomena. Next to having an opportunity to pursue my research interests, I also had a part-time lecturing position at the University of Groningen where I taught several entrepreneurship-related courses.
