Martijn Logtenberg is a PhD candidate exploring the social life of algorithms. His research looks at how algorithms change hospital work—and how that work, in turn, shapes the algorithms.
He aims to understand:
How algorithms and professions influence each other
How algorithm companies rethink what healthcare can be
How algorithms are co-created in practice
How are algorithms used in everyday care
Martijn is based at the Utrecht University School of Governance (USBO) and is part of the Public Values in the Algorithmic Society Program (AlgoSoc). He holds cum laude Master’s degrees in both Data Science and Health Humanities from Tilburg University.
