Marijk van der Wende is Distinguished Faculty Professor Emerita of Higher Education at Utrecht University’s Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance.
She presented her farewell lecture on 29 August 2025 entitled: Openness Challenged: the University at Risk.
At that occasion she received a Liber Amicorum: Wende & Higher Education. The Bridge Builder: Connecting Theory, Practice, and Global Perspectives in Higher Education.
