Marinthe is a PhD candidate at the Science Education group of the Freudenthal Institute. Her research focuses on how Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) can be effectively implemented and evaluated by secondary school teachers. She is particularly interested in teaching and evaluating higher-order learning outcomes, such as systems thinking, futures thinking, informed decision-making, and action competence. Through her work, Marinthe aims to bridge theory and practice, providing teachers with practical tools to both teach and assess ESD.
