Leslie has a background in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, physiology, and methods and statistics. Her doctoral research focused on deviations from rational beliefs across a variety of domains of psychology, borrowing methods from experimental economics. After obtaining her PhD (2014), she has been a lecturer for several years in the United Kingdom. She is and has been involved in various courses. Her interests include interpersonal relationships (especially social connection and the early stages of dating), self perception, biases, and motivation. She is also very interested in higher education: curriculum design, learning, teaching, and assessment.
