Lena Schubmann

Lena Schubmann is a dedicated professional committed to tackling the complex challenges of climate change. 
 
She holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge in Latin American Studies and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from King's College London. 
 
Her research interests include exploring the intersection of climate finance, early warning and food security, with a focus on enhancing the resilience of vulnerable communities in the face of climate change. 
 
Lena is currently based in Mozambique where she works as a Programme & Policy Officer for Disaster Risk Management and Finance for the World Food Programme of the United Nations. Her previous experience incudes leading climate resilience programmes with WFP in Guatemala and Venezuela.
