Lisette is postdoctoral researcher at the Urban Futures Studio at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development. She is broadly interested in understanding and reimagining science-policy-society interactions around climate change. In her transdisciplinary work, she particularly focuses on the politics of climate expertise, imaginaries of climate futures and citizen engagement practices. Her current project with Pathways to Sustainability revolves around reimagining the university in times of climate crisis, including the coordination of the Mixed Classroom 2023-2024.

In her PhD thesis, Lisette focused on the role of modelling in climate politics, which was part of CLIMAGINARIES, an international research project focusing on exploring and finding new ways in which climate futures are imagined, narrated and employed. Here, she investigated current and alternative roles of models through various transdisciplinary exchanges including an artists-in-residence project which resulted in an artistic intervention.
