I have a wide interest in STEAM education, with a particular focus on mathematics and its connections to arts and sciences. The current social and environmental issues raise challenges for research and development in our field. I am driven by the search for meaningful and relevant education for all, while maintaining attention for the beauty and power of mathematics and science. My current research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches, mechanisms that exclude and include students, and ways by which our environmental challenges can be addressed in mathematics and science education.
