Laura Fahnenbruck is a cultural scientist and historian, with an expertise in German history in the 20th Century. She is currently a post-doc the project Wording Repair: Digitally Unveiling the History of Reparative Justice in the Words of a Forgotten Diary, led by Dr. Lorena De Vita.
Laura Fahnenbruck has conducted research on the German occupation in the Netherlands, mainly on cultural, sexual and everyday issues. She has conducted public history (research) and has been involved in two major citizen science projects aimed at the collaborative publication of historical sources.
She has taught in the Departments of History, European Languages and Cultures and in German teacher training at several universities and a university of applied sciences. Today, she critically accompanies historical practices and public history in the digital transformation society as a freelance historian for Reality Lab.
