Lorina Buhr is a postdoctoral researcher and participant of the ESDiT (ethics of socially disruptive technologies) consortium. She gained her doctoral degree in 2021 for the thesis ‘Power and motion. On the meta-physics in the concept of political power proceeding from Aristotle's dynamis’ (in German). Her research examines conceptual, ontological and normative aspects of finitude and irreversibility in nature, using the examples of extinction of species and technologies for de-extinction. She was scientific researcher at the University Medical Center Göttingen (Germany) and scientific coordinator at the University of Erfurt (Germany).
