Linde Bekkers has been a PhD lecturer at the Department of Public Administration and Organisation Sciences since September 2024. Within her PhD research, Linde studies how different social classes, as well as their visions of the future and political trust, influence support for climate policy. Linde focuses specifically on the role of emotions in this process. Within her research, Linde uses both quantitative and qualitative research, including future design and creative research methods such as theatre experiments. In addition, Linde is involved as a lecturer/coordinator, thesis and internship supervisor and tutor in the teaching of the bachelor's and minor programmes in the B&O programme. Within her work as a researcher and lecturer, Linde strives to make her findings accessible to a wide audience and to contribute to social impact. This is a key point in her work.

Previously, Linde graduated cum laude in sociology (BSc) with a quantitative study of the differences between ideological and affective polarization, and how this influences voting behavior in the United States. Linde then completed the research master's in Public Administration and Organisational Science cum laude with a mixed-method study of the influence of social class on sustainable behaviour.
