I am Associate Professor of Economics at the Utrecht University School of Economics, a Senior Researcher at the Development Economics Group at Wageningen University, and a Programme Director at the Centre for the Analysis of Risk (CEAR) at Georgia State University. I am a member of the Network of Development Economists in the Netherlands and of the European Development Research Network (EUDN).
