I recieved my Master degree in Physics of the Deep Earth and Planets at Utrecht University (UU), during which I focused on seismology and exploration geophysics. My Master Thesis was an internship with Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), after which I also worked on a seismics project for Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN). A smaller reasearch project during my Master on 2D numerical models of glaciers for synthetic Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), reignited my interest in cryosphere and introduced me to the world of geophysics of ice.

In my PhD at IMAU (UU) I focus on Remote Sensing of Cryosphere. My current research interest is in developement of processing algorithms for satellite altimetry and their application to the data collected over Greenland Ice Sheet. I work with CryoSat2 and IceSat2 data in Python, with the main focus on mitigation of the common altimetry problems.
