Hi there, my name is Kelly Kurowski. I’m a PhD student in the Process Science group at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Business Informatics, both from Utrecht University. During my master’s, I researched and published a paper on robotic process automation (RPA) for my honours project. Naturally, with a strong interest in the topic, my master's thesis also focused on RPA and unstructured data.

My PhD project addresses the market shortage in the healthcare, primary education, and childcare sectors in the Netherlands by rearranging tasks through process mining techniques. My research interests include process mining, business process management, RPA, and machine learning. I’m passionate about developing technical solutions, while also exploring the human aspects (and concerns) surrounding technological advancements. As part of my PhD project, I am particularly interested in the intersection of technology and the future of the labor market.
