Illustrating evolution?

Below you find the results of a interesting evolution experiment using drawings. From a variation of drawings (made by different students) I selected certain drawings that apply most to my wish (for example a bigger or smaller handle), these drawings were then reproduced (by redrawing this picture) by a new set of students.  This approach is used to explain the basic ingredients for evolution to take place. 

The "tree" below thus shows the evolution of coffee cups!
