Judson serves as a Lecturer at Utrecht University and a member of the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) as well as the Research Platform Equality Legal Studies (EQUALS). He teaches courses in the fields of international and European law. He is particularly interested in the intersections of law, gender, and accountability in global justice. He holds an LL.B. in International and European Law from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, during which he also spent a semester studying at the Université Catholique de Lille in Lille, France. Building on this foundation, he pursued an LL.M. in Public International Law at Utrecht University, specialising in human rights. His master’s thesis offered a critical examination of the prosecution of sexual and gender-based violence against men under international criminal law, approached through the lens of feminist legal theory.

Alongside his academic work, Judson has gained practical insights through experiences at international tribunals in The Hague, including at the International Criminal Court. These combined experiences have enabled him to develop a broad and nuanced expertise in international human rights law, international criminal law, and international humanitarian law.
