Joachim Nieuwland works as Assistant Professor of Contemplative and Interspecies Education at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Utrecht University. Having studied veterinary medicine and philosophy, he is an alumnus of Utrecht University, Tilburg University, and Leiden University. His teaching and research revolve around contemplative approaches to veterinary ethics, with a particular interest for interspecies interdependence.
