Jan Marten Praamsma (1966) studied Human Geography at Utrecht University and specialized in the field of Regional Geography and Geography for Education. He did his PhD studies with Prof. Dr. Jan Dirk Imelman on a ‘culture pedagogical topic’ at the intersection of philosophy, geography and pedagogy.

He worked successively as Assistant Professor General Pedagogy at Utrecht University, as a teacher trainer and lecturer religious education at the Ede Christian University of a Applied Sciences, and as Assistant Professor General Didactics of Teaching and Learning at the Graduate School of Teachting of Utrecht University.

His research focuses on Philosophy of Education.
