Jan Marten Praamsma (1966) studied Human Geography at Utrecht University and specialized in the field of the Theory of Human Geography and Geography Education. He did his PhD studies with Prof. Dr. Jan Dirk Imelman on a ‘culture pedagogical topic’ at the intersection of philosophy, geography and pedagogy.
He worked successively as Assistant Professor General Pedagogy at Utrecht University, as a teacher trainer and (senior) lecturer religious education at the Ede Christian University of a Applied Sciences, and as Assistant Professor General Didactics of Teaching and Learning at the Centre for Teaching and Learning of Utrecht University.
His research focuses on Philosophy of Education.
