Jane Pieplenbosch is a PhD candidate at the Department of Education. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Pedagogical Sciences at Leiden University in 2018. She then obtained a Master's degree in Applied Neuroscience in Human Development at Leiden University.

After obtaining her Master's degree, she worked for 3 years as an education- and research-assistant on the projects 'Thuis in de opvang: Een fijne start voor baby's' and 'Leesvaardig door digitale leeskilometers in groep 3: Differentiatie door inzet van ICT'. 

In her PhD research she focuses on the transfer of self-regulated learning of problem-solving tasks in STEM education under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamara van Gog, Dr. Vincent Hoogerheide and Dr. Gesa van den Broek.
