I consider a dedication to teaching, the sharing of knowledge, and the fostering of intellectual exchange to be integral components of being a scientist. In the past, I had the opportunity to develop a broad and interdisciplinary teaching portfolio.
At the LMU Munich, I have taught several large undergraduate core classes for physics, biology, and chemistry students. My courses have received excellent evaluations and I have been awarded teaching prizes from the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Departments. The course materials including full recorded lectures, lecture notes, and exams with solutions for my course "Physics 1 for chemists and biologists" are freely available online [Link to course website][YouTube channel].
In addition, I had the opportunity to teach more advanced courses in my areas of specialization. Course material for the most recent edition of my course "Biophysics of Macromolecules" is available here [Link to course website].
Currently, I am developing a biophysics curriculum for the Physics Masters in Utrecht as well as teaching in the newly established interdisciplinary program Molecular and Biophysical Life Sciences (MBLS).
