Jelle Lammerts van Bueren is a Dutch historian connected to Utrecht University. He completed the Research Master's program in history at this university, and also studied at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Currently, he is employed as a lecturer at Utrecht's political history section. His research interests are generally focused around the democratization processes that took place in the European political arena following the Second World War and the integration of referendum practices in the postwar democratic order. He investigates these in a historical-comparative perspective with a special interest in the French and Dutch cases.
