Jan van Gulik is a PhD candidate within the NKO-project BRUG. His research examines the effectiveness of genre pedagogy that explicitly promotes genre awareness. Although his work primarily focuses on the school subject Dutch, he also collaborates with a historian at the University of Amsterdam to explore the potential of an interdisciplinary approach of genre pedagogy.
