Jonne Bloem is a Phd candidate at the department of Education, faculty Social Sciences, Utrecht University. She obtained her Bachelor Educational Sciences at UU in 2019. Whereafter she completed the Master Educational Sciences: Learning in Interaction in 2022, also at UU.
In her Phd-project about equal educational opportunities Jonne investigates how teachers’ differential teaching practices in primary education may reinforce the achievement gap there is between children from different socioeconomic and ethnic family backgrounds, and how this affects children’s motivation and engagement.
