I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Prof. Pieter Bruijnincx in the Organic Chemistry & Catalysis group. In my current position, I develop new processes for the conversion of circular feedstocks and the upcycling of waste-sourced (bio-)polymers to value-added chemicals.

Sustainable processes and the search for alternatives to fossil feedstocks for the supply of energy and chemicals are at the heart of my research interest. I have 6+ years of research experience on the catalytic conversion of various biomass substrates. During my doctoral studies at RWTH Aachen University, I have worked in an interdisciplinary project (biotechnology, chemistry, and engineering) where I developed chemo-catalytic and electrochemical methods for the deoxygenation of biogenic hydroxy acids to chemical building blocks.
