As an assistant professor, Hans teaches in the bachelor's and master's programmes of Public Administration and Organisational Science, including Philosophy of Science and skills courses such as project management. In addition, he is specifically involved in personal education and supervision of students, such as in tutoring and thesis supervision. With regard to personal development and meaning, Hans is working on an exploration of how these themes can take shape in USG education (and beyond). In addition, he is confidant for the employees of USG. 

Hans has a background in complex systems thinking, collaboration and organizational change and has extensive experience in qualitative (action) research and advisory work. Previously, he was coordinator of GOVLAB010 at Erasmus University Rotterdam, a partnership with the Municipality of Rotterdam in the field of organizational issues.
