Ida Mae de Waal is Assistant Professor at UCWOSL. She holds a PhD in EU Environmental Law and Circular Economy (cum laude) from Utrecht University.

Ida Mae studied law at Utrecht Law College (LLB hons. cum laude) and the University of Cambridge. In 2019, she obtained a master's degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law with a specialisation in Environmental Law (LLM cum laude) and in Private Law with a specialisation in Commercial Law (LLM cum laude) from Utrecht University. Both her master's theses were published and awarded the IBR Thesis Prize for Public and Private Law.
