Isa Linders is a PhD student in the REAL project (Research on Exploration, embodied Attention, and Labelling), which is part of the Development and Education of Youth in Diverse Societies (DEEDS) department. Her research focuses on the mechanisms of exploration, embodied attention (EA), and their relationship with language development in young children. She compares these processes in home and childcare settings, with a particular emphasis on the role of socioeconomic status (SES) in shaping these dynamics. The project aims to uncover insights that can inform efforts to address language gaps among children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
