What I do

I work as Image Editor for both the Faculty of Science (2.5 days) and the Faculty of Geosciences (1.5 days). Within the 1.5 days I work for the Faculty of Science, I work 1 day as a photographer.

My work consists of:

• Organising photo shoots for the for the faculty of Science and the faculty of Geoscienes.
• Assisting colleagues in organising their own photo shoots.
• Taking photographs (faculty of Science).
• Making videos (faculty of Science).
• Managing the image bank of all photos within the faculties of Science and Geosciences.
• Advising on image use and visual language.
• Advising on image use with portrait rights and GDPR.
• Managing the iStock account.
• Managing and editing the video screens in the Koningsberger Building, Minnaert Building, Vening Meines A Building and Earth Simulation Lab.

• If you have questions about the material bank (image bank) and want to use the photos in it.
• If you want advice on how to use images (photos, videos, graphic images) in a good, communicative way.
• If you want to post information or a video on the video screens of the KBG, Minnaert, VMA or ESL (mail to videowall@uu.nl).
• If you want to use photos from iStock.
• If you have questions about the use of photos and the GDPR.

I work 4 days a week. Monday is my day off, but I deviate from this if necessary.
