I am a Postdoc specialising in the application of AI in Geosciences. My work at Utrecht University focuses on the development of machine-learning and hybrid modelling techniques for the forecasting of soil carbon sequestration across Europe at high resolution as part of the OGCR Project. I’m interested in the potential of machine-learning in improving traditional process-based forecasting techniques and in providing a complementary data-driven approach.

I completed my PhD in Geophysics at the University of Glasgow, where I developed Bayesian machine-learning techniques for gravimetry data analysis and uncertainty quantification. I was involved in a wide variety of projects focusing on the application of gravimetry for hydrology and water level monitoring, for the detection and characterisation of fault lines and for studying the Martian interior.
