Helle Hochscheid teaches courses in antiquity and heritage at University College Roosevelt, one of the Liberal Arts & Sciences colleges of Utrecht University, in Middelburg. In 2015, she published Networks of Stone. More recently she co-edited with Ben Russell The Value of Making. Her expertise is focused on the manufacture of sculpture and other crafts in ancient societies, in particular Greece. She regularly publishes with undergraduate students, most recently in the volume The World on Walcheren. She is also the founder and coordinator of the project Archaeology in the Classroom, which supports learning transferable skills in the classroom through archaeology.
