Dr. Helen Vossen is Youth and Media researcher working at the crossroads of Communication Science, Psychology and Pedagogical Science. Her research focusses on how children’s media use both positively and negatively influence their psychosocial development. Together with dr. Ina Koning and dr. Regina van den Eijnden she initiated the Digital Family project. Within this multi-method longitudinal project the influence of digital media on family functioning as well as the influence of parenting on (problematic) digital media use will be invesitgated.  Finally, as of September 2017, Helen Vossen is the chair of the educational committee of the bachelor Pedagogical Science.
