My Ph.D. project is a part of NanoEARTH ERC starting grant  The main objective of mine in this project is to simulate reactive fluid flow as a result of mineral replacement during fluid-rock interaction. We approach this problem through multi-scale imaging techniques from X-ray tomography, SEM,  FIB-SEM as well as 4D synchrotron tomography to capture the dynamics of reactive fluid flow in real-time. These different images provide information in different scales and one of the most promising ways to analyze and integrate them is to use state-of-art deep-learning image processing tools.
