Welcome to my home page. I am a full professor in the Department of Information and Computing Sciences of Utrecht University (UU), where I lead the Process Science group. Within that department, I am head of the Process Science group and chair of the Software department. I am also one of the coordinators of the university's Future of Work platform and scientific director of its AI ​​Lab for Public Services.

My research and teaching focus on Business Process Management, the field that focuses on gaining insight into and improving work processes. ICT and AI play a major role in this, particularly process mining technology and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). I ​​collaborate closely on these topics with organizations in the service and healthcare sectors.

I serve as vice editor-in-chief for the academic journal Business Information Systems Engineering (BISE). I am a member of the steering committees of the academic BPM, CAiSE, and CoopIS conferences.
