Work experience/Internships
- 2022 - present: Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Plant Stress Resilience at Utrecht University. Investigating how ethylene (and ABA) influence plant growth and development leading to enhanced flooding stress resilience in Arabidopsis thaliana.
- 2020 – 2022: Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Plant-Environment Signaling at Utrecht University. Worked on the role of ethylene in flooding stress resilience in Arabidopsis thaliana.
- 2017 – 2020: Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Plant Developmental Genetics at Institute of Biology Leiden (IBL). Investigated the specificity and side-effects of mutagenesis by CRISPR/Cas9 -induced breaks in Arabidopsis and tomato.
- 2012: 6 months internship in the group of Molecular Biology at Wageningen University. Worked on understanding the role of chromatin remodelling of ATPases CHR12 and CHR23 in Arabidopsis thaliana.
- 2010 – 2011: 9 month internship in the group of Fungal Physiology at CBS Fungal Biodiversity Centre in Utrecht. Investigated the distribution of transcription regulators across the fungal kingdom and the identification of new transcription factors in Aspergillus niger.
- 2009 – 2010 : 9 month internship at the Biochemistry Department of the University of Otago (Dunedin, New Zealand). Investigated the role of Psb27 on oxygenic photosynthesis in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803.
