Gaby van den Hurk works as a Ph.D. student at the departments of Youth & Family and Clinical Psychology. Her interdisciplinary research project focuses on the role of grandparents as a source of support and stress in the lives of young families. Her research is part of project RADAR, which focuses on the psychosocial development of young people, in association with their relationships with significant others (parents, friends, intimate partners).

 

She received her bachelor's degree in Pedagogical Sciences and her research master's degree in Development and Socialisation in Childhood and Adolescence [DaSCA] (cum laude) at Utrecht University.
