Natural Processes
I am coordinating the first year course Natural Processes (GEO1-2412) that is part of the BSc program Global Sustainability Science (GSS). The course is followed by about 250 students and about 10 teachers are involved in giving the lectures and computer practicals. In this course students learn the basics about atmospheric processes, hydrology, ecology and soils.
Ecohydrology
In am coordinating the third year course Ecohydrology (GEO3-2440) I am teaching students about hydrological processes within the atmospheric domain (e.g, evapotranspiration, precipitation). In this course, that is part of the BSc track Water, Climate & Ecosystems, I am involved in the lectures, the computer practicals and coordination of the teaching staff.
Integrated Assessment of Climate Change
In the MSc course Integrated Assessment of Climate Change (GEO4-2340) we use the IPCC AR6 reports to study physical aspects of climate change and adaptation and mitigation pathways. In the course we use exercises including reviewing, assessment, data analysis and presentation.
Master's thesis
The Master's thesis (GEO4-2343) is the final project of the MSc program where students work on an individual research project. I supervise students from the proposal phase, to the actual research and finally the writing and presentation of their thesis research.
